56th Annual Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade

On Sunday, March 1st, Island Auto Group participated in the 56th annual Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade. Bringing plenty of St. Patrick's Day spirit to the thousands of local Irish, and those Irish for the day, was the Island Auto Group Street Team van, a St. Patrick's Day float, a DJ and plenty of excited Island Auto Group employees! Island Auto Group is always committed to the Staten Island community and supports local organizations in any way possible. Island Auto Group Supports Lights for Life

Each year, Island Auto Group supplements Joe DiMarino's efforts in raising money for the Lights for Life Foundation. Every holiday season, Joe DiMartino transforms his home into a magical winter wonderland display. The magnificent exhibit collects donations for the Lights for Life Foundation, which donates all proceeds to the Staten Island University Hospital Children's Cancer Center. Adam Perlow, Executive Vice President of Island Auto Group, presented Joe with a $2,500 contribution on January 14th at SIUH to add to the donations received from the display this year. Island is always committed to the Staten Island community, its children and organizations.

    
 

Toys For Tots Donation

Throughout December, Island Auto Group once again partnered with the NYPD's 122nd Police Precinct and Toys for Tots to collect toys for children. Marcello Sciarrino, owner, joined the NYPD to hand out the toys during Christmas parties at various locations on Staten Island to brighten up their holidays! Both Island Auto Group and the NYPD's combined efforts even caught the attention of Santa, who made a surprise appearance! Island Auto Group is dedicated to Staten Island's communities and organizations through support and service. We've got your back!

    
 
Island Auto Group Food Drive

During the months of October and November, Island Auto Group hosts a food drive for the upcoming holiday season. On November 20th, Island Auto Group closed out their food drive by making deliveries to the food pantries of the JCC of Staten Island and Holy Rosary Church. Island Auto Group believes in the well being of the community, which is why their priority is working together with various individuals, charities and organizations to make a difference. This company-wide initiative will support the local Staten Island food pantries and community. JAG-ONE's High School Senior Game and Autism Awareness Fundraiser

Island Auto Group was excited to participate and be a sponsor of JAG-ONE's High School Senior Game and Autism Awareness Fundraiser. Senior baseball players from both private and public schools on the Island got one last chance to show their talents on the field on Friday, July 26th. Proceeds for the event went to autism awareness and research and was a huge success! Island representatives were excited to participate and hand out water bottles and baseball caps on the warm, sunny summer day!

      
 
9th Annual Green & Clean Festival

The Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) hosted its 9th Annual Green & Clean Festival on Thursday, June 6th at the Staten Island Zoo. Island Auto Group, the Exclusive Auto Group of the 2019 SIEDC Green & Clean Festival, presented a check to the Staten Island Zoological Society. Island Auto Group showcased a variety of Eco-Friendly electric and hybrid vehicles and passed out promotional items at the festival which is dedicated to environmental awareness and education for the community. Island Toyota Donates to Michael's Cause

On Wednesday, May 1st, Island Toyota presented a check to Michael's Cause, a local non-profit charity that funds research and provides support and awareness for those affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Island Toyota is proud to be part of the fight and will continue to support the cause!


 Island Auto Group Staten Island CYO Donation

Island Auto Group is dedicated to Staten Island's communities and charities! A donation was given to the Staten Island CYO that will be used to produce a video showcasing the many young girls & boys who were lucky enough to play on championship weekend at the CYO. Another part of Island's donation will help develop new programs such as Middle School Coed Softball & Chess among a few. The CYO is also working to develop a program combining athletics and positive self-reinforcement / anti bulling. Island Auto Group employees also participated in the Staten Island CYO's semifinals, providing hot chocolate, water and cheers of support for all those participating! Island Group Welcomes Students of I.S. 49 Berta A. Dreyfus School

On Thursday, November 8th, Island Auto Group accompanied the Street Team Van to greet and welcome students of I.S. 49 Berta A. Dreyfus School as they arrived to school that morning. It was a great opportunity for Island Auto Group to excite and encourage children to arrive to school on time by handing out raffle tickets with prizes attached that they received throughout the day. Every child should be excited to learn and attend school each day, so Island Auto Group wanted to emphasize the importance of this and acknowledge the great work the students are doing!

 
      

Island Toyota Donates to Michael's Cause

On Wednesday, November 7th, Island Toyota presented a check to Michael's Cause, a local non-profit charity that funds research and provides support in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Island Toyota ran a Facebook campaign for every "Like" they received on Island Toyota's Facebook, they made a donation towards Michael's Cause. Island Auto Group and Island Toyota are proud to support the Staten Island community and its charities.

      
 
Island Subaru Blanket Donation at Richmond University Medical Center

On June 12, Island Subaru presented the staff of the pediatrics department at Richmond University Medical Center blankets and arts and crafts supplies. The donation is part of Subaru's national partnership with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in efforts to spread hope and warmth to the cancer patients in local hospitals. Island Subaru delivered 80 blankets to the department to be used to keep patients warm during their treatments and stay at the hospital in hopes of making it a bit more comfortable and cozy. Island Auto Group is dedicated to the Staten Island community and it's charities.

 
      

SIEDC Green & Clean Festival

Staten Island Advance Cookbook Recipe Contest

On Sunday, April 8th, Island Auto Group sponsored the 45th annual Staten Island Advance Cookbook Recipe Contest. The Street Team Van greeted the Staten Island food community that gathered together at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield to mingle and taste varieties of dishes both traditional and modern. Music was provided by Music Unlimited featuring DJ Frankie Finesse with Island Auto Group's very own, Frank Rao of Island Kia and Lee Morgan of Island Volkswagen. In a room where calories did not count, 28 finalists put their best aprons on and presented their winning recipes to a panel of judges. Island Auto Group was there to greet and hand out "Swag-Bags" upon entry to all spectators including one-hundred lucky blue ticket holders who were later invited to participate in judging the Taste-Off where the final two put their skills to the test. Island Auto Group strives to give back to the community and support local organizations in every way they can. The Joseph Maffeo Foundation

On January 23rd, Island Toyota presented a check to the Joseph Maffeo Foundation's initiative to build the new neonatal intensive care unit at Staten Island University Hospital. In December, Island Toyota began a campaign for every "like" they received on FaceBook, they would donate $2 to the foundation. The Joseph Maffeo Foundation is run in memorial of a local firefighter who lost high life in 9/11, a cause so close to many Staten Islanders hearts. Island Auto Group is committed to the people and charities of Staten Island!


 St. Patrick's Day Parade

On Sunday, March 5th, Island Auto Group participated in the Richmond County St. Patrick's Day Parade! The Island Auto Group Street Team, along with Island employees, family and friends, all came out to show their St. Patrick's Day spirit!! With the Island Auto Group Street Team Van, a St. Patrick's Day float and a DJ, everyone at the event had a blast! The Island Auto Group Street Team passed out fun giveaways, which the parade goers were thrilled to receive! Christmas House Supports Children's Cancer Center

Both Island Auto Group and the NYPD combined their forces to spread the holiday spirit. With a surprise visit by Santa, the children were excited to see him and choose a gift of their choice. Island Auto Group wanted to share some holiday cheer and bring a smile to a child's face. With the NYPD and Toys for Tots, Island Auto Group was able to accomplish their goal and bring joy to the children of Staten Island!



NY Cares Coat Drive

During the months of November & December, Island Auto Group is participating in the 28th Annual Coat Drive to "Keep a New Yorker Warm This Winter", hosted by New York Cares. Island Auto Group is supporting this great cause by collecting & donating coats from their employees, customers and the community. Every year, thousands of people struggle during the harsh winter months to keep warm so please visit any of Island's dealerships to make a kind donation. Breast Cancer Awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on Thursday October 27th, Island Auto Group was presented with a plaque at the Comprehensive Breast Center at Staten Island University Hospital. Island Auto Group donated $25,000 to help build the center where patients undergoing treatment for breast cancer will receive the upmost quality care. Island Auto Group will always strive to give back to the local Staten Island community and help support those in need!


 Staten Island CYO Scoreboard Donation

On Monday October 24th, Island Auto Group donated an interactive scoreboard to the the Staten Island CYO Basketball League. Island Auto Group has donated a scoring table at both of the CYO locations at St. Teresa's and Sacred Heart Church. The Staten Island CYO Basketball League is a youth basketball league on the Island with a variety of age groups. Island Auto Group is determined to always giving back to the community & supporting the youth of Staten Island!



122nd Precinct Community Council Donation

On Sunday September 25th, Island Auto Group held a special ceremony, prior to the 1st Annual Softball Game at the 1st Annual Family Picnic, presenting the 122nd Precinct Community Council with a $10,000 donation.  The donation will help aid future community outreach programs on Staten Island.  Island Auto Group has partnered up with the 122nd Precinct Community Council for food drives, toy drives and other various community outreach programs.  Island Auto Group and the 122nd Precinct Community Council will continue to work together to help better the greater community!

 

Italian Festival & Car Show

On Saturday and Sunday September 24th & 25th, Island Auto Group sponsored and participated in the Italian Festival and Car Show at Casa Belvedere.  Island Auto Group showcased various Fiat models and passed out promotional items.  It was a fun filled weekend with great food, music and more.  Island Auto Group always strives to get involved with the local community and attend events like these.  Look out for the Island Auto Group Street Team at future events in the community!


 Back to School

On Wednesday, August 17th, Island Auto Group partnered with the NYPD to donate and distribute school supplies for underprivileged children on Staten Island. Island Auto Group and the NYPD combined their forces to get the children ready and excited to go back to school. The children were all thrilled to receive backpacks filled with school supplies to start their new school year off with. Island Auto Group was able to accomplish their goal to support the children of Staten Island!
