Island Auto Group wants to keep you posted on all the latest developments involving your favorite vehicles. That’s why we want to look at some changes to Volkswagen’s 2022 versions.

Changes to 2022 Volkswagens

VW is making some tweaks to several different editions, so let’s break this down by model and see what we expect with the newer versions.

  • 2022 VW Atlas
    • This model now comes with 4 Motion AWD (all-wheel drive) and 20-inch alloy wheels. On the Atlas SE, the interior will feature the newest 8-inch Digital Cockpit as well as more USB port options.

  • 2022 VW Golf
    • The Golf gets a slight boost in its horsepower, increasing to 241. On the inside, it will come with the huge 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro along with more enhancements to drive-assistance technology. The handling and performance will be better as well with the two new driving modes: drift and special, which will lend itself to greater agility.

  • 2022 VW ID.4
    • The ID.4 hasn’t had as many updates, but this electric vehicle promises to deliver a solid driving range of at least 240 miles when fully charged.

  • 2022 VW Arteon
    • If you want greater control, more power, and optimal performance, it’ll excite you to know about the Arteon’s switch to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. This replaces its previous standard 8-speed automatic transmission.

  • 2022 VW Cross Sport
    • This crossover model is also getting the newest version of Digital Cockpit and VW simplified it down to six trim options.

  • 2022 VW Jetta
    • The Jetta is getting an important update under the hood. Look for this one to be supercharged with a solid 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine. Also, the Digital Cockpit system will come with the Volkswagen Car-Net for better Wi-Fi capabilities. The exterior may look a little different too. It’ll have new wheels, front and rear bumpers, and grille.

  • 2022 VW Passat
    • The Passat will eventually phase out in favor of the Golf, but in the meantime, it’s getting some nice 18-inch wheels, leather seats, and black mirror caps.

  • 2022 VW Taos
    • This turbocharged SUV has become one of Volkswagen’s top sellers in recent years. The newest version includes the 4Motion AWD system, Digital Cockpit, MIB3 Infotainment, optional road-sign recognition, and drive-assist suite.

  • 2022 VW Tiguan
    • The Tiguan also gets a new grille and some adjustments to its lights. Its interior climate control has some new touchscreen features. The IQ.Drive is available on all but the S trim.
