Let’s have a look at the latest and greatest from Kia with their fantastic 2022 offerings. Kia produces several models, but we’d like to highlight the most significant changes we’ve seen in this year’s editions. As usual, this reliable manufacturer never fails to deliver.

Changes to 2022 Kia Models

  • 2022 EV6
    • Kia hits the electrical-vehicle market with the EV6 model, designed to rival Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 EV. This one’s pretty fast though, with its incredible 3.6-second 0-60mph capability on the strength of 576 horsepower.

  • 2022 Forte
    • The Forte includes some significant technology improvements, like the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto systems. Some of the premium trims include a respectably large 10.25-inch screen, but it doesn’t include smartphone integration yet.

  • 2022 Soul
    • This model dropped its manual transmission on the LX version and has a few feature updates. Most trims include the 10.25-inch screen, dual-zone automatic air-conditioning, wireless charging, and dual USB ports.

  • 2022 Stinger
    • The Stinger has added substantially more power and some interior upgrades like leather seating. The GT version has boosted its turbo-charged engine by another 45 hp to a solid 300 horsepower.

  • 2022 Seltos
    • Kia is unveiling the new Nightfall edition AWD for the Seltos line. All of the other Seltos trims include improvements to safety and media technology such as automatic forward emergency braking and pedestrian detection.

  • 2022 Sorento
    • This EV, three-row SUV promises some solid fuel economy. Drivers can expect to get 34-combined MPG and the hybrid will be available in AWD.

  • 2022 Sportage
    • We’re expecting bigger changes in the 2023 version, but this year’s model includes the new Nightfall package and a couple other tweaks. The Value Edition Package features some nice 18-inch dark-gray wheels to go along with interior improvements like heated seats.

  • 2022 Telluride
    • Reports tell us that the new Telluride may be in short supply, but hopefully that doesn’t last much longer. This one includes the 10.25-inch navigation screen, Highway Driving Assist, and automatic climate control on the LX and S models.

  • 2022 Carnival
    • Kia produces perhaps the best minivans around nowadays. The Carnival packs a V-6 engine and helpful Side-Flex adjustments for its second-row seating.

Also, the Kia Optima is no longer available in the U.S., and there were not many changes to the popular Kia Rio. Stay tuned, as always, for future developments from this trustworthy car maker.
